Let us take on the task of converting your materials.

Our platform allows instructors to publish and digitally distribute their original course materials such as
lecture notes, handouts, lab manuals, etc. These materials can either be distributed as a stand-alone
collection, or they can be integrated into an editable digital textbook like the ones we have from: OpenStax,
LibreTexts, and other OER sources.

Most faculty have existing course materials and do not have time for the task of manually rebuilding them in a
compliant form. Expert TA provides an import tool, and support services, that allow for existing materials to be
converted into an accessible and editable form, without a major commitment from the instructor.

Overview

  • Digital Delivery: Within the Expert TA platform, each of your ‘collections’ is available via a digital eBook.

How to get your materials into our platform

  1. Provide your course materials. Send Expert TA the materials you want converted. We accept PDFs, PowerPoints, Word documents, scanned documents, and even handwritten notes.
  2. We convert your files into a structured digital format. Our team uses a proprietary conversion process to transform your files into clean, editable, web-based content.
  3. We organize and format your materials for student use. We structure your content into chapters, sections, and units so it is easy for students to navigate, search, and read.
  4. We apply accessibility enhancements. This includes ensuring proper heading structure, improving readability, and creating alternative text for images to support screen reader compatibility.
  5. We complete a full quality and compliance review. A formal review is performed to confirm formatting consistency, content accuracy, and accessibility readiness before final delivery.
  6. We load everything into your Expert TA instructor account. We create your instructor access, upload the completed materials, and notify you once everything is ready for review.
  7. You review and publish when ready. You can request edits, make updates directly in the editor, and publish to students at any time using a simple one-click publish process.

FAQ: How long does the conversion process take?
Most conversions are completed within 3–4 business days, depending on the size and complexity of the materials. Rush conversions may be available upon request.
